In 1988,  Joseph Barton Sr. started with a plan to build a trucking company that would service the customer and move their freight with the highest level of satisfaction.

He did this without even owning a truck in those early days, working from the car until he came across an old trailer that would become the first office of NRS!

Fast forward to present day, with a fleet of trucks, a seasoned and exceptional team and hundreds of millions of pounds of freight moved, NRS has become one of the premier intermodal, regional and long haul carrier in Chicagoland today.  Our headquarters is located in Burr Ridge, IL.
